  Take the Kids Exposed to JW Stuff to the Disney Movie, "TANGLED." Great Message For Them

  i took my wife to this movie and pried her a bit on the way home to make her think about how sometimes the people we trust are our enemies.. the disney movie, tangled, is their spin on the repunzel story.

  i'll try not to spoil their movie and still make the point of why this is a great movie to take a jw to, the older and closer to adulthood the better.

  you total adults with jw adult loved ones should drag them to it.. the villain takes repunzel away from her life (as a baby) and keeps her in "the tower" for her own evil purposes.

  when will i taste freedom?

  for all those that have been able to rescue thier loved ones from this religion the feeling of freedom and security must feel incredible no matter what outside influence attacks you it must be easier to fend off with a family united.

  i am not one of those situations and i am always dancing around the truth about the truth with my wife.

  she can turn on the blinders and question me and level blanket statements like" you dont belive in an armageddon" or "your a completely different person than you were a year ago".

  for all those that have been able to rescue thier loved ones from this religion the feeling of freedom and security must feel incredible no matter what outside influence attacks you it must be easier to fend off with a family united. i am not one of those situations and i am always dancing around the truth about the truth with my wife. she can turn on the blinders and question me and level blanket statements like" you dont belive in an armageddon" or "your a completely different person than you were a year ago". the painful truth is even though some days i see the real woman someone who sees plainly the oppresive demanding tactics used by the JW's, she usually becomes very agitated and concerned about me and looks at me like she is losing me. if anything i am afraid the opposite is true. why is logic so hard to accept for a JW? i know the cult mentality has a huge hold on someone i have given 20 years to, we have amazing children and because of our tempered and tolerant stance about this religion we have avoided painful situations those who are more strict with thier children have had. i feel sometimes we are headed down a path that will break us apart and it will be all approved in WT land. is there ever a reason to put religious doctrine before a good family? her parents are completely full of themselves, brainwashed card carrying obnoxious zealots with no regard to the sacredness of our marriage and even though they do not know my current views of the society, the paranoya is at a fever pitch and it scares my wife right back to the dark side. i have gained a lot of insight from reading many, many posts on here and have learned what to say and what not to say and nothing seems to just click with her as it did with me. anyway i refuse to give up on her and the kids but i needed to vent and this forum has been a good source of peace for me so thanks for the time.

  Where did you sit in the KH?

  the official wt understanding on where to park your butt during the meeting is to move around from meeting to meeting in order to get in more association or whatever but i never really saw things that way.

  the kh seating arraingment at my hall went as follows;.

  if you sat in the front you were really late or wanted to seem really spiritual.. the elders and pioneers always liked the same seats every meeting.. shiftless ones and those who wanted sympathy for thier back ailments would stand in the back during the talks.. ever had a sister in your hall bring in their own chair and footstool?.

  you gotta read this to beleive it!.....lately my mind is teaching s we had that "went beyond what is written" and this subject on self defence has cracked me up!!

  !.....you if gotta see this to believe it!....not just guns....but almost everthing is bashed...they did leave out the option of us carrying a sword o.j.

  I would still rather take my chance with diplomacy and common sense.

  sometimes that is not an option. its should always be the first action but if it comes down to a life and death situation a gun might save your life.

  "Truth" - One of the most abused words

  since leavng the "truth" some 18 years ago, i am amazed sometimes how often that little 5 letter word is abused.

  i have heard so many people attach it to their statements that i basically call into question anything anyone says that is followed by the word "truth".. i bring this up because it really seemed to come at me from many directions this past weekend.

  on friday, i was listening to karel who hosts a left wing talks show on green 960 here in the bay area.

  Are You For Or Against The Death Penalty?

  i clearly am for it if it's proven without a doubt that a person murdered another in cold blood.

  recently, in connecticut, a man was convicted of killing 2 young girls and their mother.

  the animal raped them and almost killed the defenseless husband/father who could do nothing while these atrocities were being carried out in his own home!.

  i am for it only where there is irrefutable evidence and it is a heinus crime such as the hayes case. why should we pay tens of thousands to feed, protect and provide him with medical and legal assistance when a .45 caliber bullet costs about .50 cents
